| A long-time angler, Monte Burch grew up fishing the rivers, creeks, and strip pits near his home. Largemouth bass were the quarry, and he spent a great deal of his time catfishing with his dad. He was one of the first writer/photographers with Bassmaster Magazine when it started and also covered the bass scene for Sports Afield Magazine for many years. When several major reservoirs were constructed near his home, Monte began to pursue and write about other species, including crappie, bluegill, white bass, walleye and musky. He has fished over much of North America for both fresh and saltwater species. |
